Woke Up In A Story

Woke up in a story
One was being told
Asked if I could go now
But the teller just said "no"

So I woke up in a hurry
Really was a dream
Forgot that I was sleepin'
What a silly thing

A monster came upon me
Ate me with one bite
I fell into his tummy
And there I stayed all night

Awoke with a grumble
A vicious appetite
Went into the village
And won an epic fight

Swallowed all the people
Screaming as they went
I could only smile now
Cause it was evident

I was now the monster
My belly finally full
So I took a nap there
Like the silly fool

The men they came upon us
And killed us with their fears
We were just together
Fighting back the tears

(spoken)
Now we are a lost cause
There really was no hope
Because we are just the masses
And they've got us all by the throat
